I'm having problems connecting HDMI connections to LG Oled TV was connected via my Yamaha RX-840 before but for some reason its stopped connecting to my other Roku,Rasberry Kodi etc.

 

So would a HDMI switch be an alternative as I don't want to get something doesn't work.

I don't see how an hdmi switch is going to solve your problem as described, but also your problem definition is not very clear so it would be difficult to give proper advice until you can lay out the issues in more detail.

Panic over had to go back Yamaha RX-840 alter HDMI settings which were turned of for some reason, so all good now.
