Does anyone know any companies that do in-wall speaker installation in the Wellington area?

I'm keen to find a way to lay speaker cable without pulling all the gib off the wall.

Thanks in advance.

Is your house on a concrete slab or piles? if it is on a concrete slab there will be no way to access it from underneath.

Installing them via the roof space could be possible but would be very difficult if you have a standard pitched roof without removing some of the roofing iron.

It could turn out to be quite a costly excercise and I would recommend that you do as much as possible yourself, if you can get access it's fairly straight forward.

It's on piles and is quite easily accessible from under the floor.  I'm not much of a handyman but I expect a a pro installer would have a long drill bit to get through the dwangs.

There is no ceiling space either so the roof is no go unless I was to take the iron off.

OK having underfloor access will make it easier but it depends on where you want your speakers mounting. If you want them up near the roof it can be very difficult to drill up from under the floor, especially if you have insulation in the walls. Not to mention problems with hitting other wires in the walls.

It is an external wall so I undoubtedly have insulation issues but I don't want the speakers to be mounted high at all so I wouldn't think it would be too difficult for a professional.  Well, I hope not :-)

Any decent tradesman will come and have a look and give you a written quote anyway so it would be worthwhile getting that done first.
