Hi

I notice that the chinese freeview channel now has a program guide online
http://www.wtv.co.nz/ctv8/e_des.html

Does anyone know any EPG scrapers that get data for the channel, or is anyone interesting in creating one?

Does this channel broadcast now/next data in the DVB-T stream?

They have now/next in the EIT data, and full 8 day epg in the MHEG-5 stream.

There is an XML feed here - http://listings.tvnz.co.nz/freeview/chinesetv8_7days.xml

It will need modifying to be XMLTV compatible.

Thank you

What's the best method of modifying this xml file for use with MP TV Server xmltv plugin?

Currently i use mentalinc's epg downloader to create tvguide.xml in my MP TV Server folder, and then import a single guide using the xmltv plugin for MP TV Server.

I emailed the guy at xmltv.co.nz and they have added CCTV8 to the EPG.

You should now get chinese epg if you use mentalinc's epg grabber.

Howdy,

I'm using Metalinc's epg downloader but upon having a look last night in MediaPortal to set up the EPG for CTV8 I didn't notice it in the list.

Anyone able to confirm if it's there?
