I'm after Bose Companion 3 II system. Where can I get one for a good price? Cheers.

Unless you purchase them second hand or get them cheaper from overseas, you won't have much luck getting them at a discount I believe.  Bose seem pretty rigid on their pricing (unless they have a sale).

Also, I'd recommend looking around at alternative brands before you purchase.  You are likely to get something just as good at a less expensive price.

agreed, some of the cheaper or less exclusive brands can be surprisingly good. Make sure you visit a place you can test them first, take your own player with your own music and visit on a quiet day.

Try and avoid systems with a subwoofer that had a lot of mid-bass, the smaller speakers should be able to handle a good range and not be "tweeters"

Bose is typically akin to a swearword when it comes to discussion of hifi musical reproduction, and for good reasons. Have a read of this http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html

I agree that other brands will offer far better value for money - I understand that a number of the Logitech products are pretty good (and you'll get a lot more bang for your buck)...
