I have a video card with dvi output so i know i need a dvi to hdmi cable.  got that covered.

My problem is the audio, and specifically if i headphone jack to rca cable it to the tv how will the tv know that audio is on the same channel as the hdmi video feed?

I dont have a surround sound to distribute the sound (i want it to go through the tv)

each of the hdmi inputs is a stand alone channel.

what do I do?????Cry

the tv is a 40v4000 sony
