Hi, I know you can show pictures from PC to TV via S-Video

Just wondering if you can record live tv  and or show live  video off a satellite decoder onto pc using rca to s-video cable IOW is S-video bi-directional?

Not unless the socket tells you so.. ie: S-Video In.

Also the quality will suffer greatly. Much better off getting a TV tuner card and recording from that.
