Just when I finally got RC2 working great, tooWink.

Will look at changelog to see if it's worth the effort. I just want to enjoy it for a while.

Now, you can go ALL the way Laughing

You will notice differences for your existing version, especially if you use TV Series & Moving Pictures, & a good skin, like StreamedMP.

Finally got my codecs sorted to play ALL my various media file types. Ooops, I'm waffling. Have a good upgrade.

Darn! I've been usurped as the Mediaportal RC herald Smile

Must do that backup so I can risk an install... Or maybe I'll just hang out for 1.1, it can't be far away now.

My HTPC is an Nvidia Atom dual core 1.6, running MP 1.0. I tried to update to RC2 a while ago and it made the menus incredibly slow, in particular Moving Pictures, so I went back to 1.0.

Anybody have the same experience  I have had? What about with RC3?

Thanks

#EDIT: It is a Zotac Ion with HDMI

Yes my MP HTPC has slowed considerably in the menus with 1.1.0. (All RCs)  I probably haven't helped things by running StreamedMP as a skin (but I like the interface plus TV-Series and Moving Pictures).  The speed is a small price to pay for better stability and interoperability with Windows7.

Interesting. I had real problems with TV3 in RC1 so I stayed with 1.0. This, though, is real slow on navigating through the TV guide. Testing of RC3 (yes, I have a test environment - Win 7 -  because if I break "production"..... well let's not go there) has been quite good, but I just run the standard skin.

Updated on the weekend from 1.0.1. Much more stable so far, EPG is slower, but TV3 playback is better. My ion struggled on 1.0.1 . Only real issue I had was with tv server, it didn't combine my channels for both tuners automatically, but overall seems worth the update.

Im pretty certain I saw there was a 'fix' for the slow menus somewhere on the MP site.

I dont remember exactly, but Im 99% sure I read it whilst cruising for other things, it would be worth a search to see if you can find anyway.
