Hi!

Can anyone using a touch screen reply to me as I would be extremely interested in discussing setup / possibilities of using a second screen on my HTPC placed in another room (the touchscreen).

I perfectly understand that there will not be a different show running on that screen (the card will clone the image to the second screen) but this is OK. I am running one seat installation.

is any command received from the touch screen going to be processed as if it is coming from the remote control? changing something on the touch screen will affect the other screen (the 42" LCD - the main TV in the house).

Can I use other programms running on the pc while MP is ontrolling the main 42" TV? I am thinking adding security camera for example and have that running through the same computer but with output to a different screen (the touch screen). then if I want, I can "tap" into the Media Portal video signal (somehow?) and revert to watching whatever tv show is running (or video is playing)?

Thank you.

Watching this one - I'm in much the same situation, in as much as second screen with touch overlay for controlling media, without interfering with the main screen.
Not quite ready to setup as yet - in the "aquire stage". Well, the "implement when I have time" stage :-)

Have the LCD, have the touch overlay. Have to marry the two together and fix a torn conductor on the flex cable.
