I have a 46" Series 5 Samsung HDTV - http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/archive/LA46A550P1RXRD/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

I bought it second hand and the buttons on the control panel of the TV, bottom right of the bezel, do not light up making it almost impossible to see them.  My father's series 9 buttons light up, are mine supposed to? Or is that just how it is?

is this the volume and power buttons etc? and are they not raised buttons?  Yeah my series 6 is the same, they don't light up, you just run your finger over them and they work.  But yes you can't see them in low light.

No remote?

Yeah I have a remote, just saw that my dad's lit up and wondered if mine were supposed to.  Thanks for the info.
