Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a way to change the source of the program guide of the media center. The cable company in my country did not send to Microsoft a full program guide. In fact, many channels are missing.
We have a tool that can download a program guide in XMLTV format. The problem that the media center will not let me change the source.

I realized that there is a Big Screen EPG software. My question Are there other solutions? Not only does it cost money, is actually not really working.

I'd love your help and advice.

You can check the EPG Importer to see if it works for you - still under development.

Thank you.

When the program finishes the import of the Schedule. Do I need to do something more? Media center itself? Channels I added them manually, but can not see that update. I also can not change the source of the Schedule.
Why?

Thank you.

Hi -

In regards to the Big Screen EPG comments - there's lots of Kiwi's successfully up and running with this product - and it's more than likely that your problems may be caused by some invalid or incomplete configuration/setup.

If you are experiencing any problems getting it going and want some further assistance - please feel free to ask questions here - or even better please feel free to drop into the discussion forum for this product at xpmediacentre.com.au site - http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/big-screen-epg/ (as other users who have same setup can also chip in and help).

There's also some very comphrensive help/setup guides etc (with a decent focus on setup in NZ) included with the product - so please also take some time to look at that.

In regards to the 'cost' factor - please do note that there is a 'free' version of this product available - and the full 'paid' version actually costs as little as USD$0.16 per month to run - so it's not any great financial strain (and helps contribute the costs of producing this product, hosting costs for it and ongoing support and updates).

cheers
Niall
