Wasn't sure weather to post this in the HTPC section but I need to do the following:

From PC HDMI Nvidia 210(has audio capability already tested with TV) out to a receiver which will decode any format I throw as well as the the ability to have normal PCM stereo virtualised up to at least drive R+L+Sub.

Also accept HDMI form Xbox360 and probably a blue ray player later on.

Looking to spend as little as possible but don't want to shoot my self in the foot either! Would something like this do:

Any gotchas I should look out for?

Bluray in future means something than can decode the HD Audio formats, or accept HD Audio decoded and passed to it as multichannel pcm.  (I don't think htpc's can do this yet?)

You say you have confirmed audio over hdmi works, but just sending this to a TV will not test dolby/dts 5.1 so might need to test this for the likes of TV3's 5.1

Last time I checked, Onkyo's offered the best bang for buck for something that did inclue 5 or 7.1 HD audio capabilities.

Basics then really, check it can use audio over hdmi as some of the very basic hdmi receivers can only pass this through/switch it, not work with it in any way.

Personally I would opt for one that has a mic setup too, to get the best out of whatever speakers you hook it up with.

They're a high featured amp for the $'s. I'm pretty sure you should be fine.
They do come with a setup mic too - which is nice.
Pretty sure the new ones feature an option to run HDMI pass through if you desire, hence its compatibility with 3D TV's.
