Hi, I am new to this forum. Any help greatly appreciated and apologies if its already been covered.

I recently moved house and freeview works fine at both locations thru a sky dish however at the old place I could watch SBS but cannot pick it up at the new place.

I notice the LNB? is smaller at the new place. Would this be the reason and is it easy to rectify?

SBS is weaker so your new dish may need aligning better.
Also it's on a different polarity, so you may need to adjust your skew a bit better.
ie turn the lnb clockwise a bit and see if that helps, or turn it anti clockwise and check there as well.

Also, make sure no other boxes (including sky) are turned on, as if another box is tuned to freeview/sky, then SBS will not be available.

I just moved into a house with an old Sky dish on it. I bought one of these http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/globo-4100c-digital-satellite-receiver-p-426.html and SBS 1 & 2 worked out of the box. The box is cheap and well setup. Just have to figure out how to see the other satelites..

SBS has some interesting science and tech documentaries ..

The other thing is you may have gone from dual lnb to single - or the reverse.

The LNB settings are: 11300 for Single or 10750 for dual.

In all honesty from NZ there isn't much good on Ku band other than D1 and D2. Asiasat 4 occasionally has some good uplinks, but even then you need at least 90cm or larger to get AS4.

For 'good stuff' you really need a c-band dish
