I've recently upgraded my Samsung PS50C7000 3D Plasma, from Firmware version T-VALDEUC-2001.17 to T-VALDEUC-3001.1

There isn't any release documents and I can't find them anywhere on the net.

It was a major update, as usually it goes up in small increments eg 2001.15 to 2001.17. It also reset itself to factory out of box defaults which required the full setup and re-tune.

Does anyone know what the updates done? and is there any release documents for it? I haven't noticed any major differences.

I have noticed the volume is now about double what it used to be for the same sound level. Also there is a slight change to the text in the 3D section.

Awesome tv by the way. Purchased mine before GST rise. Updated firmware a few days after purchase. It wasn't a very big update though.

Cheers, I'm loving this TV overall great picture and the networking and PVR features are wicked cool.

I have noticed with the latest firmware that you now have to activate recording of live TV, and you have to stop recording live TV if you want to change the channel which is kind of annoying as previous releases started recoding automaticly and you changed channel like normal.
