I'm not sure if any one else is doing this. But I gather the 7 days epg data from dvb-s, then map it to the dvb-t channels. This is all done within Windows media center 7.

It works 90% of the time but I sometimes get recording errors;

Recording of South Park began as scheduled on 3/02/2011 8:28:04 p.m. and stopped early on 3/02/2011 8:28:05 p.m. due to a schedule change.

There was no schedule change... It only seems to happen when I try to record two channels at the same time. I have 1x dvb-s card and also 1x dual tuner dvb-t card. Channel C4 for example has 3x sources, the total from both cards, with the listings source set to dvb-s.

Any one else encountered this problem?

are you actually using the DVB-S for channels? or just keeping it for EPG?

i ended up pulling mine out and loading up the programs to pull the data from the DVB-T tuners instead.

The heat in my case has dropped by 10-15deg as a result too!

Many people are now using a combination of EPG Collector and BigScreen EPG to load epg data straight from the dvb-t stream. This option has been available for close to a year now, without any major issues.

I am using both tuners for channels, some channels are dvb-s only. I have rescanned my channels and re-mapped them. hopefully that will fix my issue.

I would rather not use a 3rd party app to gather and set epg data, but if I cant get this sorted I guess I have no choice.

I map the DVB-S EPG data to my DVB-T channels and have never had any problems. Just make sure you have installed all the cumulative updates for Media Center available on Windows Update and have the latest drivers for you cards.

The latest cumulative update is October 2010
