Was looking at it, but then i read it doesn't even play standard DVDS - let alone upscale them :(

Switchable BluRay zones sounds good, not so sure it'll really do a great job though...

I've tried a few cheapass BDPs (AMTC, Philips) and basically you gets what you pays for...

While DVD playback is not a compulsory part of the BD standard, and I do recall some early BDPs didn't play CDs but this is the first BDP I've seen that doesn't play DVDs.
