So as I understand it there is no genre data provided over MHEG5 for New Zealand.
How are you guys getting genre data for the EPG?


Currently using BSEPG to do the import and EPG Collector to get the data. So obviously this data is missing.

Worth adding a second source (e.g. http://www.haventech.co.nz/epg/)? Does it merge them nicely? Ditch EPG collector totally?



Other issue I'm having is MC is not downloading meta data & cover for movies in the guide... Why not? (Even manually editing imported file to have some genre's defined for movies, which worked but still didn't get the meta data (even after going in settings and using the 'download now').




I'm guessing GuideHound slower than BSEPG because it doesn't have the local database for series data lookup?
And I'm assuming it wouldn't even work properly without the "genre" data because it only looks up if genre set for movie or series...? i.e. need to have "genre" working to get movie and series meta data?

Also isn't BSEPG's method (letting MC get the meta data for movies) better than GuideHound's lookup and insertion...? (Er if it was working for me.)
