Hi guys,

I can't remember if changing your TV setup IN 7MC wipes your guide. By changing, I mean things like adding another tuner type, changing the speed with which the blaster sends commands to the STB, etc. I've set up this stuff plenty of times from scratch but don't remember an instance where I've gone in and re-run the setup to add new tuner types, etc to an existing setup.

If it is going to wipe stuff, is that something able to be backed up first?

I just went through this exercise. I have a Hauppauge HVR4400 and was using the Satellite tuner only. We didn't have.Terrestrial until very recently.

When I went into tuner setup and scanned for Terrestrial channels I lost my Satellite channels.
To get them both I had to configure the Satellite and then configure for terrestrial in the same session. If I remember correctly after configuring a tuner there was an option to "configure another tuner" or something like that.

I had to go back and organise all the channels again, associate the terrestrial channels with the Satellite EPG and combine the duplicate channels making the Terrestrial Tuner the preferred tuner.

Midia centre now has two tuners available for all channels that are on both satellite and terrestrial.

I'm not sure whether adding an additional tuner card necessitates an entire rescan or not, but suspect it will.

I can confirm that the above is correct - you do lose your settings if you need to add another tuner. Quite frustrating really.

The other thing that happens is that you also lose the channel logos - if you use them.
