I have my PC connected to my amp by a male to male headphone cable. It used to work but now it doesn't have any audio. If I connect an ipod to the cable it works fine so cabling isn't an issue. I had a look at the audio settings on Windows and itunes, which look fine (to me!) so I'm not sure what the problem is. Can anyone help?

You may have broken your laptops headphone port / muted your headphone output on your soundcard.

Thanks for that. Is there an easy way to test this?

Plug headphones into your laptop - do they work?
