I have recently just purchased a LG MZ-42PZ45V Plasma Monitor. It was bought online and I did not realise it has an rca connection type. I cant get my sky to work as it is through a scart and also my ps2 seems to come out black and white.

The connection types are as follows :- RS-232C Input, DVI Input, RGB Input, Audio Input, RGB Output, Expanded Input, Audio Input, Component Input, S Video Input,, Video Input, Audio Input

How can I set this up so it will work? and what cables do I need?

The tv also has no interface board so I guess I will have to purchase this also?

I assume you are where the flag says, in UK, you will require a SCART to S-Video cable that is an output one, and then set the sky box to S-video.

What type of cable has your PS got, it sounds like it is outputing S-video and you are only using a composite input.

It is the usual yellow white and red ps 2 connection. not sure of the name? thanks for helping! how do I change my sky to s video?

To set up the Sky decoder to provide S-video out you need to do the following:

Configuring the Sky Decoder:
Press the Menu button on the Sky remote and go to Setup/Advanced Setup/SCART
Setup/S-Video and confirm. The PIN number is either 0000 or the last 4 digits
of your Sky card (or whatever you've set it to). If you can't remember, ring
Sky and they can reset it.
