Hi if anyone has one of this model would you please report if it can play .mkv .m4v h264 files from USB? Also if it plays hi-res divx?

The NZ supplier says it wont play these formats, but its most unusual for any blu-ray not to play .mkv

Unfortunately I dont have a clue who the overseas manufacturer is otherwise their web site would probably reveal info.
Thanks,
Alistair.

Sorry should have mentioned that - I saw those specs but often the correct specs are not copied from manufacturer, and so far havent found the manufacturer website.

I read a review of the Akai ABR100 a while ago and one of the downsides noted was that it didn't play mkv format files.
