Hey guys, I got a Dreambox DM500s off TradeMe, and have got it setup to the point where I can see all the freeview channels. I have CCcam 2.3.0 installed (via its Download software part) and selecting 'Cardinfo' seems to show that the Sky card is working (Shows its a NDS card, with a bunch of entitlements although with funny dates, eg 5e2         43/03/2014)

I've googled and searched here but everyone seems to be able to install CCcam and it just works, whereas I go to a Sky channel and it remains blank.

Anyone able to help me figure this out? Thanks in advance :)

You need the correct series card for a start - Sky have two different types of cards and only the 45xx ones will work. You will also find that those that typically know about this sort of stuff aren't going to go around talking about it.

We don't have sky, however, I do have a dm500s that I set up at the beach house for the family's use. Last year, my sister could just bring down her card and use it in the dreambox and it worked fine. This year, she brought down the card and it did not work, the screen stayed blank.

We ended up using her (45 series card) card in my fathers (old Pace!) decoder.

Looking around, it appears (and, I can't check this) that you need oscam to decode it now. Have a look on the austech forums for more detailed set up steps. There were some pre set up images you could have used to flash your dreambox with, but, they were uploaded to Megaupload...

Something else you may want to investigate

I just got it working ;)

Except a few random channels don't work, eg Sky Movies 1, while 2 and Greats are fine, Cartoon Network doesn't, Sky News doesn't)

Just with CCcam or CCcam & oscam?

At the moment its got CCcam and NewCS (I dunno if I needed both) I just found a config utility that rewrites the config for them, and all of sudden its all go. Is oscam a replacement for CCcam or NewCS,

Incase you can't tell I'm new at this, picking it up bit by but :)
