And so here I am. I've kinda known of Geek Zone for a while (okay, that's probably 15 years or more), but I've never really looked into it. And now I realise it is full of folk just like me.

Does one have to be a geek to be here (rhetorical question, no answers required). I'd class myself has having some geeky tendencies (as many of my colleagues would agree with that statement).

So, I expect I'll be able to help a little with questions, and hopefully, my questions will be interesting in their own right.

Now back to trying to figure out why I'm only getting 100Mbs on my 1Gb fiber connection (no support required ... I think my ISP is on the case, and I'm betting its provisioned incorrectly).

Okay, I'll say more in case anyone is interested.

Speedtest.net gives me a download speed of 94Mbs. Connecting a PC directly to the ONT and running iperf3 tops out at 94Mbs. Looking at one of the Chorus websites, it says I'm set up for 100Mb but could upgrade to 1G connection (and I'm paying for top-o-the-line 900/500 or close to it).

Time will tell if it was the provisioning.

There we go, sounds like provisioning hadn't caught up yet.
