G'day. I'm Simon and I am a former career journalist, now into third year of a computing degree and soon to be looking for first job in new ITC career. Am gadget mad - have just purchased Asus Zenbook Ultrabook (very cool btw, and actually wife bought it, I'm a student and have no income /cry) - and follow tech developments with all the feverish delight of a kid in a toy store. Fav author Stephen Hawkin, scifi fan (SG1 rocked), wish I could be around in 100 years time to witness developments in robotics, nano-technology, quantum computing etc, but happy to settle for the stuff that's happening now which is pretty amazing too. Live in Wanganui, study in Palmerston North, will work wherever the path leads.

Hi all, and thank-you for your welcomes.
Like many people I guess I have visited on and off over the time as a guest.
This is certainly a great resource. Thanks to all those whose efforts keep it afloat.

Jaxson: Welcome, where are you studying in Palmy?

Hi..
I am studying at UCOL, enrolled in the Bachelor Of Information and Communications Technology degree (BICT). If you're one of my tutors logged on under an alias, I promise I am hard at work on that assignment as we speak!
