Hi all,

I have lurked for some time and feasted greedily off the information stored here; now that I have a modicum of knowledge in the technology and IT area, I'd like to get involved and rub hypothetical shoulders with the many brilliant people in this community.

My passions are design, film and music, but I always keep abreast of the technological news, I have some knowledge of audio gear, TV/media ecosystems, PC components and Audio/Video production software; I am just about to take the plunge and get involved with Linux and server gear in my quest to create a cheap and stable solution to solve some of the technological woes the company I work for is experiencing.

So yea, here's hoping I become a productive member!
