Greetings Geekzone!!
I figured I should say hello :3 My name is Casie. I am a licensed cosmetologist. I specialize in theatrical cosplay and synthetic dreadlocks! I like video games ( no..not like call of duty.) I stick with NES and SEGA :) I like to create things and break things.

I feel at times that I am not only the wrong gender....but I am also in the wrong time period entirely. I have old man humor/character trapped in a 23 year old girl.

I am licensed to preform a wide variety of services that are within my industry of hairstyling etc. I personally just liked coloring my hair all sorts of crazy shades :) I spent all of high school avoiding all those "air head" popular pretty girls.....and they were all waiting behind the doors of a hair dressing school called "Empire". (stay tuned for a silly moment I endured. Pure.Gold. :D)
ANYWAY!
I started school because I wanted to help people. Really, I know most stylists say they want to help too....its cute. What scares me most is the lack of personal touch and sometimes unfortunately, basic communicating skills. This is one of the few professions that allows its staff to touch others (no...I'm nothing compared to a doctor of course.) but that's special, clients sit down and let me come into their world. That should be honored. Sadly, its exploited by insane prices and excuses on why your hair looks nothing like the picture you were SPECIFICALLY instructed to bring in. RaWR!!!

My job is to stay wrist deep in self-esteem, LISTEN to what my client expects of me, make it happen and then teach the client how to do it at home.

Story time with Casie

At school...a bunch of girls.."tens" and the rest of us. They are all talking about doing this cute little food drive thing. After pondering what to do and how to waste more of my learning time...they came up with this...a cardboard box and a pink piece of paper that says: "Empire Gives Back". Again. Pure. Gold.
I point at the attempt and say the obvious. "More like strikes back!" just then...every head swung around.
Silence.
I hear the few quiet giggles from the sides.Nothing else. I die in awkward laughter.
