It took me a while to finally get here, but hello to everyone. I'm brickviking, occasionally known as Viking667 or Dr Smokey. I've been on IRC since 1996 at Undernet, Freenode and Esper servers. Currently I'm interested in computer games including Minecraft, with experience in Windows, Linux, Solaris, Plan 9 and the freely-available BSDs. I've "scratched some itches" by making little programs in bash, and although I've tinkered with other computer languages, I haven't taken to them like bash.
I also like music and reading.

My blog posts are at flying-brick on blogspot and should be easy enough for the average geek to find. Having been around as a desktop user in various capacities, I've gained a lot of weird information and I seem to have somewhat of a talent for helping other users that require more aid.

I've got multiple computers, I'm married with a cat and an earthquake-damaged house.
