Howdy fellow techn enthusiasts !

I'm an ex-wellingtonian currently resident in India.  Left the corporate IT/ Telco job to spend more time with the family and what the hell - move them to the other side of the world and settle in New Delhi India (its currently 33 degrees outside, with 70 percent humidity - think combination fan bake oven and sauna)! Have enjoyed reading numerous post in Geekzone - and great to see so many knowledgeable tech experts .  Apologies in advance for any glaring mistakes I make while posting.

cheers

Well Namaste to you! Yes...my indian friends couldn't believe it when I said I was moving to India! Especially when they had worked so hard to travel in the other direction! Forgot to mention in my post - the telco/ IT scene here just blows me away. Article in the paper yesterday said there were 8 million new mobile connections made last month. 8 million connections a month! As for the broadband - don't get me wrong.  I'm happy to have a connection at all.  The next time some expert in NZ says anything less than 2meg download isn't real broadband - I could quite happily strangle them!  What I wouldn't give for a 1 meg connection!
