Hello All from Dunedin.

Always been interested in all things tech/computers, even back in the day of the 286's and the Apple IIe (always been a bit of a Apple Fanboy but can't afford them). Boy, isn't that showing my age Yell. I have always came to search the forums for tech support. Have just finally got my newly installed TV tuner cards working and can get freeview, All thanks to the forums.

Thanks guys!!

My tech history is as follows.

Over the years I have attempted following this interest further by doing courses (such as the Microsoft Certified Professional, back in the Windows 2000 era) Though I did the course, I didn't do the examples due to a couple of reasons, like moving back to NZ from OZ. Though I have always worked in the hotel industry and currently do, I did have the chance to work in IT for a short period. I got a break by an acquantance that worked for a large international company that provides POS systems to the Hotel, Restaurant & Bars worldwide. The job involved doing mainly installations and doing support when not doing installs. Just say things did not go to plan and I am back working in the Hotel Industry.

I would still love to work in the Industy but I am happy at the moment being tech support for my family members and having this expensive hobbie.

Sorry for my life story (part 1) and I am happy to participate & contribute as much as I can.

Cheers
Rickie

Welcome to Geekzone Rickie!

Random question: do the movie theatres in Dunedin now have frozen coke?  As I kid (with my family) we travelled around the South Island, and I remember being disappointed at not being able to have a frozen coke in Dunedin.

/randomness over.

Thanks Guys,

Nate, I am not sure as I am not a great Frozen Coke fan and I can't say that I saw anything like that when I went and saw Transformers today.

By the way I really enjoyed Transformers and all its explosions. Definitely one to see on the big screen :)
