I'm quite proud of myself. This is the first forum I've joined with intention to contribute.
I hope I'm doing it right.
Anyhow, this is an introduction, yes?
well.
I am Chris. I live in Levin (a lovely little town in the lower North Island) and currently go to Waiopehu College.
There, I am year 12, but doing Level 3 Calculus.

But anyway.

I like Nokia phones. I own a beaten-up E50 and a 5140, one on Vodafone, one on 2degrees. currently debating which to stick with.
I also like to play around with simple audio equipment and power supply thingies, but yeah.

The PC I am typing off is some delightfully pathetic thing. It possesses a 2GHz Celeron, 1GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 9550.. and a 160GB hard disk. Not bad, considering all parts are salvaged from dead PCs.
It is running Windows 7 build 7600, and Ubuntu 9.10. I'm only keeping Windows so my mum and sister don't complain about none of the computers having Windows.

I once owned a PSP. But it was stolen.

That is all from me I think.
I hope I'll be able to help people here.

Greetings and welcome to Geekzone

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

  "delightfully pathetic thing"

Ahhh this must be the part where I launch into long and vague stories about the 'good old days'...anyone else remember the good old days? Remember trying to get the last K of conventional memory out of the 640K so you could load up that one killer game (TIE fighter for me)...which is now available on a mobile phone...when you had to set the IRQ on expansion devices with jumpers, ahhhhhhhh the good old days *looks wistful*
Welcome to GZ :)

Haha.. What I meant was, some sod stole it in July. It was quite depressing: I'd replaced the power port with a mini-B USB port cause the charger broke at the plug. It looked shoddy, but it worked. Plus, a mini-B USB cable connected to a 5V, 2000mA power supply is cool.
Cool Hence the cool sunglasses here. =P
