I'm a soon-to-be-unemployed (by choice) fitter-turner who is taking some time out to be stay-at-home dad.  I relocated from the States 9 years ago and still sound like a Yank, though I have learned to talk quieter.

My hobbies, when I find time to enjoy them, are model engineering, 1/32 scale slot cars, and Kubuntu Linux.  Keen to chat/meet with others with similar interests, especially in Chch area.
