Hi, my first post.
Briefly I am not as smart as you guys and girls at digital geek stuff but I have and am still servicing electronics at component level since my apprenticeship in the 1970s. Expect to post only occasionally.

Welcome! I wonder if geekzone had an electronics forum there would be more discussion on that.

Hi Brian. Like me, you had to learn about Valves, then transistors, then AND, NAND, and NOR.
I still do a bit of component level repair on older VCR and DVD, but no more CRT for me.

I don't know about other Electronics Service people, but the only thing I would be interested in would be a forum including Switch Mode Power supplies and LCD, Plasma servicing.
