Hi All

I've just had a phone call from a relative in ChCh who has been sold a high spec, over $2,300 laptop and quoted around $350 to come to their home to set it up for wireless by a nation wide chain store.

They no nothing about computers and I feel they have been oversold by a long way by the smooth talking salesman. He also tried to sell then 2 iPhones 4s on a 24 month plan for a real good never to be repeated deal. Luckily after to speaking to me on the phone they only got 1 which they returned yesterday. The laptop hasn't been delivered yet so they still have the option to cancel the delivery.

All they want is a replacement laptop to surf the net, use Skype on and play the old game of solitaire or bubbles on and  setup a wireless network at home so they can use the laptop from any were in the house. They also want to have all their images transferred off their old laptop.

Does any body out there have any recommendations for a some in Chch to help them?

Cheers Paul.

Would you be confident to order a Dell online for them? That might be the easiest option. Low stress, great support, no huge retailer margin.
