I was just about to crawl into bed and realised I had finished the novel I was reading and wondered ... why can't I just download one?

Is anyone using a decent e-book reader?

I looked at the libraries and they are no use.
Sony NZ didn't want to sell me one.
Amazon seem more interested in selling me knickers.
Publishing companies are not interested.

Is this still too far in the future?

I think, that right now, you should wait. I lusted over a Sony reader but they just arn't quite there yet you know...

Plus there doesn't seem to be one widely used format that everyone uses.

Sony sell them in the US, but they also have a eBook store as well bundled with software...

We get nothing as we are New Zealand. yay.

Plus they cost a bunch.

Just wait another year or two.
