Hello everyone

I have a problem, I think it's a laptop problem but lately I have been experiencing a few problems with my computer on my laptop, when I plugged in my iPod touch today and opened Computer it just said "Windows explorer has stopped working" and it restarted the whole toolbar, and that same incodent happened with my External Hard Drive, is there something wrong with my external devices or is it my Computer? Just that I need to print some documents at Warehouse Stationary today and I need to know if it will effect their computer.

Hi,

I know this problem, it's from the FFdShow codec usually

try this:
goto Folder Options and turn thumbnail view off, change it to view icons only

It happened to me for ages and I was trying to find a fix, it stopped happening after i updated FFDshow and my catalyst drivesr, then reappeared :(

When you change it, make sure your external device and ipod aren't plugged in first, change it, then plug them in and tell us how you go :)

Also try the latest FFDshow beta and update your video drivers

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.
