Do you think the dell notbook from the ware house would be good for a young student?

has anyone had problems with it or know of problems that happen to it

I know of heaps of people that have bought it and had no problems, although there are plenty of 15" screen laptops around for the same price (the dell is only 14" i think).

Whatever you get, i would recommend a RAM upgrade - go to DSE, they should supply and install a 512mb stick (to make 768mb total) for around $200.... Makes a world of difference to performance.
