Hi all,

Wish I could be more specific but I'm after a small device (but not cellphone/pda type tiny) that our guys can take around to directly enter meter values into a spreadsheet on.

Needs to be a smallish, easy to use type device that doesn't take 5 minutes to start up etc.
Needs to run excel spreadsheets.

Was thinking Ipad but not sure if they're out here yet, and they don't appear to support Office Excel?

So really it's small notepad/netbook or some tablet type thing.
Basically needs to be easy and simple to use, good battery life,
Needs good connectivity to save spreadsheet file to external USB device, or email it out, or wirelessly transfer it off the unit etc..

Budgets up to $2k but don't expect it to be that much.
Rugged/decent secure case might be a bonus too etc.

Any ideas?
Anyone used anything like this they liked or hated?
Cheers.
