Hi there i am about to purchase a new battery for my HP laptop but the guy i purchased it from on trademe said i am supposed to charge it before i use it but on some articles on the internet it says i am supposed to discharge it and then charge it right up first

What am i meant to do with my new battery?

Is it an official HP battery or a "Battery for an HP Laptop" that could be made out of anything?

If the latter, then I recommend not buying it! Those things last about 10 minutes, leak, explode and generally aren't worth much. Of course, they're about 10 times cheaper than an official battery.

If it IS an official one and it's Li-ION as most are, you should read this




Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

Hi there yes it is a genuine HP battery

i have had a battery for an HP laptop and they are rubbish last maybe a hour on a full charge
