Hi, I recently changed the screen in my old laptop, and the new one is stuck on a low backlight brightness. I can do the functionkey + up to tell it to change and it registers that I have done it but there is no change. The screen wasn't a recommended replacement part but I thought it is the same size with same connectors, so I can't go too wrong.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows weather the backlight control (Which I assumed was on the inductor board bus), comes from the screen or from the motherboard? I am guessing it must be the screen must incompatible or something.

Thanks, Daniel.

Hmm, well just tried to turn on my computer without connecting the screen up and the ccfl back light didn't turn on so I guess it must be sent through the screen?
