Hi, Long story here, but to cut it short, my laptop fell onto the hard kitchen floor off a tall barstool. Anyway, the laptop survived without it freezing even, however on closer inspection, I found that the Ethernet Jack, and Modem Jack, they are on one housing unit, the plastic cracked, and basically seperated, from the main board. They connectors are still attached, but in trying to straighten out the pins, rendered the ethernet jack, or what's left of it totally useless. I was wondering, becuase the motherboard isn't really faulty, it still does what it does, however the jack has just seperated from the main board, and the board isn't cracked that I know of around that area, are their any computer repair places, for a reasonable rate, that could replace the ethernet, and modem connector on the motherboard, without replacing the whole board, because that will just be too costly. Also Laptop was bought by original buyer in South Africa, and therefore is a local SA badged machine, however I've seen a faw well known branded computers use the same model, just their brand. Will that effect anything?
I don't want to spend too much on this, if I can help it.
Thanks
