I will mainly use it for light gaming, like sims 2 or age of empires, surfing the web, and typing up documents.
A rough estimate would be fine.

2 hours when batt is new give it 6+ months maybe 1 hour 30 min and as time goes by the shorter it will be

Oh okay. That sucks, but oh well. It's a cheap computer so it's to be expected.

I would say they are being a bit harsh, if you only used it for internet/documents it would be 2 hours 30 mins i reckon.

But the 'light gaming' as you describe it is actually quite intensive for a laptop like that and you will be lucky to get an hour while playing games on it.

Ok thanks. It would mainly be internet usage and documents anyway. 
Another thing I want to know is if it's bad to keep the battery in while connected to the power supply?

gaming on full brightness just under 1 hr

gaming on min brightness probably just over an hour

- just a guestimate from experience
