I have a bit of an odd issue, and would love any advice you may want to offer. Mac Suppport seem stumped... as do Xtra.
About a week ago I started having trouble loading apple.com webpages; they were slow, or timed out. As of today, I cannot open them at all on my MacBookPro (OS X).
This is from my home office broadband connection. No difference if I try Firefox or Safari, wireless or via ethernet. I am having not trouble loading any other pages.
Weirdly, I can access apple.com pages via my PC on the same internet connection.
Furthermore, I can access apple.com pages on my Mac, if I use my mobile broadband connection.
And, if I use the actual IP address (supplied by Mac Support) for the apple.com website, I can access the site from my MBP.
This is sounds like a minor niggle, but it's not. It meant a complete restore was needed on my iPhone this morning, because I tried to upload the new security patch (but failed, due to the connection problem).
I've added two DNS numbers to my Airport network connection (supplied by Xtra) and that doesn't seem to have been a solve either.
Any suggestions welcomed!
