Pity only 1 Samsung at launch and no SMS.  My wife has a Samsung A52s 5G so was hoping she'd get it.  It works great on my 52S on 2D.

Yeah pretty odd. I struggle to understand the logic there. Been a long time coming and only one obscure phone at launch. We have a 52S 5g and a S21 FE both would be nice to work day one or shortly after.

While we are semi rural, coverage that has been solid for years has degraded to a point only 3G calls work reliably and have had to disable VoLTE as those calls just drop or have broken audio. Will be nice to be able to leave VOLTE on and use VoWIFI when home

Our whole subdivision (Lincoln, Canterbury) is somewhat a black spot for Spark where we have to roam the house for the sweetspot of reception and even a few feet either way results in poor / no calls, so have been anxiously waiting wifi calling to sort this (may other houses are in the same boat based on the facebook group page discussions). Samsung A52, S21FE and iPhone 8s in the house. Hopefully the list of supported devices grows quickly (especially to Samsung's current or recent offerings I would have thought).

Has anyone with an A33 been able to activate this so far? Tried it on my workmate's new A33 today but the operator ID didn't change (Assuming it would say Spark NZ Wifi Calling), potential we don't have the firewall opened up correctly however.

No SMS, 1 device... its hard but Spark have managed to make the Vodafone and 2 Degrees roll out of Wifi Calling look world class.

I know I have said this before but Launching with no SMS over WiFi calling is a massive fail

Hi Team. Appreciate the passion and enthusiasm about this topic.

We’re still in the early stages of our VoWiFi roll-out. Expect many more devices to be supported over the coming weeks and months.

As you have noted - not all features are supported yet and we’re working hard on enabling roaming and SMSoIP. However, rather than wait for all features and devices to be available and delaying launch - we wanted to make sure customers had access to Voice as soon as possible.

Yes we will be updating our supported devices as they're enabled via https://www.spark.co.nz/help/mobile/understand/wifi-calling/

Hey Morrisk - have you actually been able to make a WiFi call? I have an iPhone 12 with Skinny SIM and I'm not able to make calls, it does show the WiFi Calling option in settings. Mine is on build: 20A5356a Service Provider Skinny 51.0 - is that the same as what you've got?

Yes. I have the same iOS version that you quote.
I disabled the cellular connection and then called someone as usual. Went through with no problem.
