AppleJackXD: Here are my stats on the Technicolor router

need to dig down to the stats themselves, this is my pet hate with the tecnicolours, all the juicy stats need to be hunted down..

just keep clicking till you get to line attention error rates etc

do you currently have a master filter installed? if you are indeed 8db by the prequal, would have expected far higher than 10mbit..

No i have no splitter was waiting for the one that comes with the vdsl2 since we just payed the 99 dollar install fee

I know getting my phone wiring re done would deffinetly give me a jump in speed so should i get new phone wiring this week or just wait for my vdsl2 ?

Wait for technician, hope he will solve your problems. And don't worry about ADSL2+ or ADSL0.1 or +100500LSDA...  You will get VDSL2, just wait! :)

Yeah i know it's coming michaelmurphy told me he checked it all out.... I just wanted a install date from the guy on the phone that's all and im angry he lied to me.

What you are angry about, you will get VDSL2, cmon stop being angry :> . About "lie" i post above, people can create errors, it's normal life things.

Also install dates depends on many factors like: how is team busy, weather, technical conditions and many many other. Just wait :)

Sorry about my English guys :>

I've already investigated this before you guys jump to conclusions :)

The problem is due to very bad internal wiring according to the DSLAM and whilst line stats have changed Telecom as a company does not do any form of rate limiting, for example I sync at 19mbit and from a speedtest get approx 16mbit, this is normal for any xDSL network due to overhead, packet lost, forward error correction and the amount of hoops the traffic has to jump through to reach it's destination.

This is his line, it has improved over the weeks but should be very good once the master filter is installed for VDSL.

Im just frustrated because it's been nearly a month I've been waiting i haven't heard anyone waiting this long i just don't want 1 month to turn into 2 months then 3 months of waiting. If it wasn't for me ringing up last week my connection wouldn't have been migrated to adsl2+ so i could upgrade to VDSL2  the first towo weeks was a waste because nobody set my line up to migrate to adsl2+ they pretty much forgot about me until i told them hey i have been waiting over 2 weeks whats happening... they said oh you were supposed to be migrated to adsl2+ sorry we will fix this for you now.... I have been very polite on the phone im just annoyed im pretty sure im right to be annoyed after the guy on the phone flat out lied and said i had ads1 and hadn't migrated yet after 2 telecom guys told me i have and im using the internet on my ads2+/VDSL2 router which is not adsl1 compatible.

Your IP address 222.154.134.* tells me you are still on a FIPD connection.
You need to migrated from FIPD onto another type of connection called BBA which can take a week or two depending on your billing cycle.
FIPD can only support standard ADSL2+ broadband.
BBA supports both standard ADSL2+ and their new "Ultra" broadband.

I do understand your frustration, and will get somebody to check it up tomorrow for you, migrating from FIPD to EUBA does take a bit of time though and this is not just humans doing it, it's the systems and how they talk to Chorus to get a profile change done on your line too, from here we're needing to wait until the migration service order is closed off correctly before migrating the line to VDSL else you'll get more issues and I'm sure you wouldn't want that :)

Better play it safe than be sorry and rush things, it's all happening and I'd estimate it'll all happen very soon.

Did you say you're 132 feet from the exchange? Sorry, I don't use that system. Can I get that in metric (metres maybe)?

AppleJackXD as I told you at the end of last week you're not on ADSL1, you're on FIPD which supports both ADSL1 and ADSL2+.
I also told you that you are likely to be migrated early this week due various issues I described to you.

Once you are migrated, you will be given an install date for VDSL.
Hold tight, it is coming.

While you are correct, I wouldn't rely on IP ranges too much as IP address ranges are being continuously migrated too.
