akia: No further update - I'm hoping to get an update at the end of the week.

Hey. I'm still waiting for Vodafone to upgrade our Galaxy 3s (i580) here at work. At least Telecom has come out and said that there is to be an upgrade unlike Vodafone's deafening silence..

As I tell the customer services at the freight company I use "yes is an answer, no is an answer, silence is not an answer" you can deal with the first two but the last only creates frustration. I cannot accept that Telecom (or in your case Vodafone) know nothing. Ok maybe the build comes from Samsung but there must surely be some communication taking place or why would you continue to do business with them.

akia: The update is that we're in the middle of testing 2.3.3 and have found an issue. We're waiting for a new release of the software before we can retest. No ETA at this stage but once we do have ETA on a release we will let you know.

If the issue is the shortened battery life that should have been flagged by the experience of others worldwide, no NZ testing required.
