AKLWestie:nossi: Upgraded to VDSL today. everything working fine (ADSL speeds) with the Telecom connection when Chorus guy left around 11am, but things stopped working around midday and still not restored at 8pm despite a few calls to Telecom Helpdesk, thankfully we have dual connection to TelstraClear/Vodafone.
Try a hard reset / factory reset of the VDSL2 router. I was in a simular situation last week and a hard reset fixed the problem (I tried turning the router off, wait 60 seconds and turned it back on, but that didn't work).
Thanks, resetting modem to factory defaults a number of times didn't solve my challenges, modem continued to report vDSL connection with "broadband light" ON but would not authenticate so remained "internet light" OFF.
I understand Chorus changed my broadband port on Monday to one that supported vDSL, which in turn required Chorus and Telecom to update their records before authentication could occur on the new port. Everything came right on Wednesday ~48 hours after installation, with the "internet light" now ON, followed by text message "Your Telecom Broadband is now enabled. When you're ready, connect your modem..."
