God this is frustrating. 10 seconds of gameplay leads to 1 minute of lag/connection's lost. Please fix this telecom.

I accept that this plan may be slower at times but this is getting ridiculous,
Facebook doesnt always load correctly and often needs refresed,
Gmail has to be loaded in basic mode during peak times to even load
Rapidshare runs at an average speed of 18KB

I can understand the filesharing being slower, but shouldnt this plan be able to load webpages without timing out?

I Noticed at 2am my downloads have gone back to "normal" speed. well above 4kb/s anyway. Havent tried gaming yet but I would imagine it would be fine :)

2am is when the shaping is supposedly turned off.

One torrent I was running jumped from ~40kBps to ~1MBps almost instantly then,

Dosn't seem to calm the packet loss though. Teamspeak still measures 12% packet loss and an 80ms ping. Server is in Sydney. I also get packet loss in game (same server)

It is now 3:37AM. I don't know...

The worst morning yet for me, absolutely no connection to newsgroups and many webpages are just loading so slow.

And things were going so well yesterday I was hopeful that this was all sorted.

EDIT -------------------------------

5 minutes later and it went from dead links to the three servers I was trying back to normal. I guess maybe my timing coincided with changes being made at Telecom? Just a guess.

Well, looks like I am having problems even though I have switched back to the Adventure plan:

I just rang Xtra and they changed my power profile after checking my line attenuation. It has made a HUGE difference. Tripled my DL/UL speeds:

I am sure this is a different issue to the BT problems but it is worth ringing Xtra and checking perhaps...
