As per $subject?

Looking at http://www.spark.co.nz/shop/mobile/mobile/plansandpricing.html the minimum would be the $9 plan.

I would be keen in getting a standard pay per minute with nothing included (the credit used to be valid for 12 months).

You are best to ask Spark directly.  I find the chat on their website works quite well.

It certainly *looks* like they can still be used without a "plan" but I see all the SIM purchase options include a "free" plan for the first month.


I was curious too, so did just that. For the OP:  Yup, you can just signup with no value pack and just use your credit on casual rates and top-up as needed. And yes you can just add a value pack for a single month if needed and cancel it the next month.
