Hi All,

Would someone in the "know" be able to assist in getting login information to the TG582N router via Telnet CLI?

I have tried administrator/admin and administrator/[blank password] and administrator/administrator but have had no luck.

My goal is to setup this router as a repeater to an existing router which is connected to the internet. I.e. extending the wireless range with the TG582N (using existing free device, rather than purchasing a HomePlug)

To do this I need to set a static IP, disable DHCP, setup SSID and authentication on the TG582N via Telnet (web interface does not have these options, unfortunately)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

The user id is case sensitive. Have you try Administrator with a capital A?

Thanks! Yes, this worked.

Do you know how to get the commands for:
Setting a static IP, setting up SSID and authentication on the TG582N?
I have managed to disable DHCP by using "DHCP server config stated=disabled" not sure how to save a Static IP and setting the wireless SSID settings though.

Also in the menu system on the CLI, I figured control+c to cancel out but how do you save in "menu" mode?

Thanks
