At long last, more than 5 months after Chorus butchered our fairly new pavements, UFB is being sold in the area of Grey Lynn/Ponsonby that I live in.

Online order with Telecom on Tuesday 9 April produced install date of Monday 15th which I couldn't be home for.  Changed to Thursday 18th.

Today, Tuesday 16th, had a call from Visionstream (on behalf of Chorus) to say that their pre-inspection indicated that the 10mm conduit from street to house would not be wide enough for both copper and fibre connections.  Visionstream are getting their civil works team to install 10mm new conduit across the front garden, all of about 2m!  This is being done on Wednesday 17th in preparation for UFB install on Thursday 18th.

I'll not be home when the conduit is installed, but if they fully reinstate as promised then all's good.

Home on Thursday for the install, and pictures to follow after it happens.

Getting slightly excited.
