Just a heads for for a great xmas promo, I would suggest entering for sure if you are a landline/broadband customer.

There's a major prize to be given away each day and a number of experience prizes and network prizes.

http://www.telecomchristmas.co.nz/

You pick 3 experiences to enter to win each day(resets at midnight so you need to remember to visit/enter again) and there's a draw every 8min for telecom network freebies(mobile or landline) spot prizes. You can only win that type of prize(major, experience, minor(spot)) once for that category during the promo for a maximum of three prizes(one of each).

The mobile network spot prizes are 500Mb data, 200 texts, 50 mins(unsure?) and landline $25/$50 home account credit and 30 mobile minutes.

Bonus Extra prizes are only valid to Telecom Prepaid Mobile and Telecom Postpaid Mobile customers; Account Credits are only valid for Home Phone, and Broadband customers. Your Bonus Extra is a FREE bonus - so it is over and above any included minutes, texts or data you may have. It will also be used before any other minutes, texts or data. Once you’ve used up your FREE bonus (or the bonus period is over) you’ll go back to your standard plan and rates. Any Extras or Value Packs you have will keep going like normal and renew on their usual renewal dates.

Seems well worth trying to win the home credit(requires home phone num+account number) to me, ofcourse the other prizes are pretty good as well if you are only a mobile customer.

Good luck

Noodles: I tried to register, but it wouldn't allow me to continue unless I check "I agree to receive tech tips and special offers by email". A bit cheeky.

You may need to do this, for the week (10th-16th) the promo runs. Only 1 email generally

Not really cheeky at all. Why give you something for nothing?

It's a promo for existing (paying) customers, so it's not really something for nothing, especially given many of the phone-related prizes are fairly inconsequential for many people who are already on a plan.

Pretty sure I signed up to receive their offers for something else a few weeks ago, don't recall receiving any emails yet, although I've still yet to receive anything saying 4G is available. ;-)

Hey can someone from telecom point me in the direction off someone that could help me as I won 2 tickets to the cricket in Napier that subsequently got rained out, so I was wondering whether it'd be possible to get them "exchanged" to the game against India next weekend.

Cheers

They were ezytickets from ticketek that I assume telecom bought and printed and then couriers to me. Where it has the customer name it had "winners telecom competition". I may go in to ticketek to see if they can do anything but I'm sure for when their is a cancellation and you have a ezytickets they just refund the purchaser's credit card automatically.
